The Weekly Report

November 5, 2007

Members & Initiates:

This week, we present some important business items that you should take note of. The most important of which is a schedule change. Next week, November 16th, we are scheduled to have a Community Service Event. Simultaneously, we realized there are a great number of business items we need to address as a chapter. Therefore, next Friday’s meeting will be a Member’s Meeting. Look for details later on in this week’s short Report…

Week in Advance

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will visit our chapter on campus this Friday. Pizza will be served and Fraud Examination is the topic. In fact, the IRS will turn us into Revenue Agents for an hour, showing us how to solve a crime.

The details of the meeting are as follows:

Event:

Date:

Location:

Time:

Internal Revenue Service

Friday, Nov. 9

RH Lower Level 010 A

6:00 P.M.

Announcements

As stated in the opening, there has been a schedule change. Rather than having Community Service next Friday, we will have a Member’s Meeting instead.

There is still one more month to plan an additional Community Service event. Molly O’Brien is currently attempting to coordinate an event for a Saturday later this semester. We hope to give each of you another opportunity to earn the four hours of community service required for membership. Please remember, if you volunteer with another organization outside of BAP, the service hours will count towards your minimum hours.

During the Member’s Meeting next Friday, we will have a lot of ground to cover. A tentative agenda for the meeting includes the following topics:

· The Banquet

· BAP Semester Survey

· Spring 2008 Schedule

· Elections

· Grades

We hope that each of you will attend the meeting. We will be discussing many important issues and we want your input! As an incentive to attend, we will deduct $5.00 from your cost to attend the banquet. Rather than paying $25.00, you will only pay $20. Please consider attending, it will be an important meeting.

Nominations for the upcoming elections are currently being accepted. You must have your nominations to Damir Stupar by Friday, November 30th. The election will occur on Friday, December 7th.

Please remember you may nominate any member or initiate that is in good standing. Good standing means the individual has adequate membership points, adequate service hours and will earn at least a 3.00 GPA for the Fall 2007 semester. You may nominate yourself, a friend or any other member or initiate of BAP.

Lastly, there are some approaching dates to take note of:
